Description The Coordinator of Career Services is responsible for the directing, coordinating, planning, implementation, and assessment of campus-wide career services as well as working with the Director of Advising & Student Success around academic success initiatives for students and constituents at Midway University.
Position duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and deliver high quality services and programs which include career counseling and exploration, professional skills development, job search strategies, resume and interview preparation, and relevant professional development workshops.
Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students, alumni, faculty, employers, and the community.
Collect and assess data for the career services including the Universitys First Destination Survey to report on graduate outcomes annually.
Develop and provide oversight to a comprehensive internship program and other related high impact programs in support of career services and academic success.
Keep abreast of trends and best practices to support implementation of initiatives as it relates to career development, academic advising and success, and degree completion.
Research and implement technologies and assessments designed to build the career self-efficacy of students and alumni.
Plans and implement in-person and virtual career fairs, and on-campus recruiting events including Eagle Connects.
Provide regular updates to students and alumni about job opportunities.
Serve on the Association for Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities Spotlight Career Fair Committee.
May teach one section of MWY 101 annually as needed by Academic Affairs.
Performs other duties in support of the Office of Student Success, as assigned.
Master's degree required from an accredited institution preferably in student personnel administration, student development theory, higher education administration, counseling, career development, or related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience, demonstrating counseling, career development, and/or related experience.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Proven writing skills, detail-orientation, ability to coordinate multiple ongoing events, and manage multiple priorities
Experience in event planning, coordinating meetings, designing marketing materials/event announcements, and working on multiple
