The Business Manager will oversee employee onboarding and payroll activities for the Division of Student Affairs. The position also oversees procurement, accounts payable and receivable, cash handling and contractual billing for Student Affairs departments. The Business Manager provides support in the development and implementation of the Division's annual operating budget.
The position is responsible for managing SABSC office operations, including adherence to payroll guidelines and schedule to ensure prompt onboarding of staff and timely payment of staff salaries and wages. This position also provides oversight of Student Affairs purchasing and procurement activities and timely vendor payments. The Business Manager supervises SABSC staff and reports directly to the Director of Administration and Business Services.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Five years of experience in payroll management, including employee onboarding, time entry, and position management and purchasing and procurement activities
Experience working in a diverse workplace with a demonstrated commitment to cultivating an inclusive and welcoming office environment
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal experience
Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in PeopleSoft HR
Proficiency in PeopleSoft Finance
Experience in a higher education work environment
Supervisory experience in a hybrid work environment
