The Administrative Coordinator provides general administrative support for the College of Education Academic Affairs unit by providing administrative coordination for Gamecock EdQuarters. Also coordinate business and administrative activities by assisting undergraduate advisors, graduate staff advisors, clinical placement coordinators, recruiting director, student services and advisement director, and executive director. Serves as a financial aid liaison through coordinating and implementing the application process for the SC Teachers Loan and the Federal TEACH Grant. Prepares and maintains reports and records specific to the office and COE students. Supervises work study/GA students.
Job responsibilities include:
Administrative: Assists the executive director, director, and associate directors by planning meetings and events, scheduling appointments, completing special assignments, working with College offices on matters such as technology, facilities work orders, and ordering supplies. This includes coordinating the reduced tuition credit procedure and updating and coordinating budget information. Responsible for coordinating and processing the business functions for the Gamecock EdQuarters office in the PeopleSoft Finance system, to include submitting office purchases and processing payment requests. Also responsible for initiating travel arrangements and processing travel reimbursements.
Information Coordination: Serves as first point of contact for persons entering or calling the office. Assists students, faculty, staff, and administrators by providing general information about programs and processes. Communicates with P-12 teachers and administrators on various topics and polices.
Financial Aid Liaison/Consultation: Provides information to students regarding the SC Teachers Loan and the Federal TEACH Grant. Reviews, checks eligibility requirements, and updates applications for the SC Teachers Loan and the Federal TEACH Grant. Maintains database of student loan and grant records. Assists with the COE scholarship application process.
Student Services Support: Coordinates TB/SLED process each term. Prepares reports and communicates with students and instructors on compliance with TB/SLED requirement. Prepares and maintains reports and records specific to the office and COE students.
Supervises the work study/GA students and manage work schedules, training, and output each term. Serves as the Student Hire Rep for the Gamecock EdQuarters office and attend required trainings as needed. Process student hires in the HCM system and makes system changes as needed.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.
