Enrollment Services is comprised of the Office of Admissions, Recruitment, Prospective Student Services, Office of Evaluations, Office of the Registrar, Class Schedule, and Communications. Enrollment Services implements SDSU enrollment management policies and provides services to students from their initial point of interest in SDSU to their graduation.
The function of the Admissions Processing Unit (APU) is to provide administrative support services to the Office of Admissions and other units in Enrollment Services who provide services to prospective and admitted students.
The Administrative Support Coordinator coordinates the administrative support functions for the Office of Admissions. Work assignments include coordinating the activities related to university admission application receipt, review, correction, and maintenance. Additional tasks involve the processing of correspondence, archival of admission documents, and preparation of electronic files of transcripts and other application documents for undergraduate and graduate applicants.

This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
The individual hired into this role will work on-campus at SDSU in San Diego.
Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.
These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.
Experience coordinating administrative support functions for a high school, college, or university admissions and records office.
Experience reviewing high school and college transcripts from institutions in the United States.
Experience reviewing high school and college transcripts from institutions outside the United States.
Experience using a student information system at a college or university.
Experience using imaging software and scanning equipment at a college or university.
Experience utilizing database reports.
Business writing experience
Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proficiency using Google Workspace.
Proficiency in using personal computers and web browser functionality.
Experience with document reviews in a high-volume environment.
Experience in data entry and updating database records.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $3,505 per month.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,505 - $5,508 per month.
SDSU COVID-19 Vaccine Policy
In accordance with the California State University systemwide policy, students, faculty, and staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a valid medical or religious exemption in order to access campus. An individual is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose of a two-shot vaccine or two weeks after the first dose of a single-shot vaccine. Afterward a COVID-19 booster is required to continue to be considered fully vaccinated.
The individual hired into this role will be required to submit their completed vaccination documentation to the university's secure online health portal prior to beginning work. Individuals with an approved medical or religious exemption on file with the university will be required to participate in SDSU's COVID-19 testing program.
