Maintains integrity of complex, interconnected financial aid systems to support the delivery of timely, effective and compliant financial aid to NYU students. Exercise independent judgment in the management of operational details of financial aid processes and data. Ensure the highest levels of accuracy in financial information and support for software platforms utilized by the Office of Financial Aid are provided to NYU students and staff.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in related field
Required Experience: 3+ years experience with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions module (Financial Aid, Student Records, Student Financials, Academic Advisement, Campus Community, Admissions, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience integrating outside software vendor platforms (Blackbaud, CampusLogic, College Board).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to use, identify and process issues regarding technology and information systems to support work and develop data (PeopleSoft, CampusLogic, ImageNow, IDOC, ServiceLink, Genesys etc.). Ability to run wide range of reports proactively and reactively to support day to day financial aid monitoring, longer term planning and troubleshooting. Demonstrate an interest to continuously enhance technical skills and learn new ones; applies technical knowledge and innovation to enrollment service processes and complex functional problem solving. Excellent communication skills - oral and written. Be able to effectively communicate systems and impact in layman terms to enhance training and understanding for students and colleagues. Ability to identify system and service inefficiencies – addressing and providing recommendations accordingly. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and client support skills. Significant knowledge of Title IV and institutional financial aid processes and systems. Possess dedication to a compliant, service oriented environment. Use of Federal Student Aid (FSA) systems
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Fluency in Microsoft Excel, SQL. Familiarity with Financial Aid Software platforms (CampusLogic, Blackbaud Award Management, College Board IDOC). Prior experience working with Peoplesoft
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $99,000.
