Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Baylor University Department of the LHSON Student Services is seeking a full-time Senior Coordinator of Recruitment & Enrollment to support the mission of Baylor University. This position specifically supports the mission through managing, coordinating, planning and implementing an aggressive and effective program of nursing through student admissions, recruitment and enrollment for all undergraduate programs. Assist in selecting applicants who are academically prepared to succeed and who are a good fit for the university to enroll the desired quality and quantity of future Baylor graduates.
This position is based in Dallas, TX. A Bachelors degree, three years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required. A Masters degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred. A combination of education and work experience will not be considered in lieu of the required degree and/or years of experience
What You Will Do
Offer admissions counseling information for students/families. Manage daily correspondence, telephone follow-up, emails, and inquiries pertaining to prospective students. Implement targeted calling/e-mail campaigns to shape enrollment goals. Analyze and provide timely resolution to admissions related problems for prospective students. Respond to questions independently & appropriately route issues that cannot be solved immediately to Associate Dean for Pre-Licensure Programs.
Complete application files for review using advanced knowledge of Banner, Slate and/or other required systems. Review complete files, make admission/rejection decisions, prepare recommendations to admissions committee. Determine eligibility and make admissions decisions based on evaluation of key criteria; communicate decisions to students. Counsel students regarding final college decision.
Serve as expert in undergraduate admissions policies and procedures as well as the transfer credit evaluation process. Collaborate with Admissions Operations team and ITS to build accurate and appropriate reports. Work with Office of Admissions staff to assist with Baylor admission of nursing students.
Manage articulation agreements with other Universities for Undergraduate programs. Serve as a liaison to university partners and report feedback as directed. Work with students from point of inquiry to final matriculation. Visit select colleges, hospitals and conferences for the purpose of cultivating relationships with potential students. Participate in student recruitment events and orientation activities such as the Dallas Visit Experience, Level One Orientation, Preview Days, I2E, DSD, etc.)
Supervise, train & support student workers in managing in-bound emails, phone calls and tours while upholding excellent customer service and accurate admissions information for all prospective students. Support staff in student services.
Work with LHSON leadership team to administrate enrollment plans and strategic planning as needed.
