EMPLOYEROUTREACH & ENGAGEMENT (25%) The Assistant Director for Employer Relations will support Career Center and Employer Relations staff in conducting employer outreach and/or coordinating employer engagement activities. They will represent the University with external constituents, facilitate consultations, and develop employer leads.
The Assistant Director for Employer Relations will work with the Associate Director of Employer Relations and staff to develop and manage the Career Center's Employer Partnership Program to include coordination of and/or oversight for all partner benefit delivery. They will serve as the primary Employer Engagement Coordinator for Career Center Partners and other key employers as designated.
Due to the decentralized nature of the USC campus, close collaboration with campus colleagues is essential for the mutual benefit of parties.
SUPERVISION & TRAINING (30%) The Assistant Director for Employer Relations provides ongoing supervision for the Engagement and Outreach staff within the Career Center. This role requires a candidate to possess strong interpersonal skills, to be able to provide strategic leadership, and to serve their team through coaching and feedback. This role will provide training and development opportunities to all staff members within their area of supervision.
ANALYSIS, PLANNING & ASSESSMENT (30%) The Assistant Director for Employer Relations works closely with the Associate Director of Employer Relations to develop and implement employer outreach and engagement strategies through knowledge of workforce trends, market conditions, peer benchmarking, legal issues, and data management and analysis.
This person serves as the primary administrator of designated CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, develops processes for tracking employer outreach and engagement activities, and ensures that employer outreach interactions and employer engagement activities are appropriately tracked, reported and evaluated.
FISCALMANAGEMENT (5%) The Assistant Director of Employer Relations works closely with the Associate Director for Employer Relations and senior leadership to develop and propose budgets for employer outreach efforts, employer engagement activities, and the Career Center's Employer Partnership Program. They will monitor related revenues and expenditures to ensure expenditures follow procurement guidelines and that programs are within budget.
OTHER (10%) The Assistant Director serves as a member of the Career Center's Leadership Team and assists in providing strategic direction for the Career Center at large.
They may oversee the planning and implementation of specific projects and/or programs for the Employer Relations team or the Career Center and will assist staff with additional employer relations and office-wide initiatives as needed.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree and 5 years related program experience, or bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience. Master's degree or ability to obtain by date of hire.
