Job Summary
The Associate Director of Career Management will be responsible for career advising of full-time MBA students. Included will be support for students with self-assessment, career search and job offer decision making. This position will be responsible for maintaining knowledge base of industries hiring MBAs and companies that recruit at the Kellogg School of Management. The Associate Director must also teach workshops designed to enhance students' professional development and ability to manage their career experiences.
This is a hybrid position - the Associate Director will be in the office three days a week, remote two days a week although there may be weeks which require additional in person work.
**PLEASE NOTE: Salary will commensurate with experience.
Specific Responsibilities:
Advising/Counseling
Supervises programs and services that provide personalized, coaching and advising that focuses on self-assessment, research, job and internship search strategies, reflection, and strategic decision making.
Maintains knowledge of job market trends and hiring practices in a range of fields.
Utilizes data to inform program development and allocate resources for students
Relationships
Partners with CMC employer relations colleagues, internal/external departments, faculty, alumni and employers to identify career pathways and create an outreach plan to engage organizations that will result in opportunities spanning a broad range of industries and geographies.
Develops & executes strategies to involve internal/external constituents and cultivate alumni relationships.
Advise student professional organizations
Administrative
Manage and evaluate assigned student facing projects.
Create, deliver and evaluate workshops
Miscellaneous
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience which may include 5 years' career counseling/advising in higher education or 5 years' of industry experience; or other relevant experience required
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Previous experience serving as a career coach to/working in career services and/or recruiting with professional graduate students, alumni, and/or working professionals.
Excellent communication skills, strong organization skills and a high degree of creativity and initiative are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a master’s degree in business administration, human resources, higher education, and/or related field.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in career services, recruiting, and/or a related field.
Demonstrated experience focusing on student learning and outcomes assessment.
Experience in technology, private equity/venture capital, consumer goods or strategy is highly desirable.
Understanding of the MBA landscape.
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Familiarity with social media platforms.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
