JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: provides administrative program support for the three-year medical curriculum program as well as coordinating ongoing processes for Office of Student Affairs. This position serves as the primary point of contact for both students, faculty, and administrators. Additionally, this position will provide administrative support for various activities in the College of Medicine office of Student Affairs at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as liaison to students, faculty, residents and school administration for all issues or questions related to the 3-Year MD Program. Coordinates the 3-year MD curriculum committee and other groups/individuals (e.g. residency programs, marketing, finance, admissions committee, faculty mentors and advisors).
Implements and oversees student learning community program (UTHSC MPOWER-Mentoring Program, Opportunity, Wellness, Engagement and Research) events.
Serves as coordinator of Learning Communities (UTHSC MPOWER).
Manages quarterly meetings with faculty house leaders and faculty mentors regarding UTHSC MPOWER to provide faculty with career resources, information, recommendations and explore barriers to mentoring.
Organizes candidate application processes.
Processes invoices, procurement cards; develops budget and balances ledgers for program
Assists in data collection and data management for scholarly activities related to outcomes for the 3-year MD curriculum program.
Maintains academic progress and professionalism for the quarterly review meetings to determine student progression in the program.
Arranges meetings and conferences, schedules interviews and appointments, and performs other duties related to maintaining one or more individual schedules; makes travel and lodging arrangements, either directly or through travel agencies.
