Summary of Duties:
The Program Assistant is responsible for providing support and coordination of curricular-related activities throughout the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program. The Program Assistant has extensive involvement with students, faculty, staff, and private practitioners, in processing students' program activities, coordinating, scheduling and monitoring DVM professional student program activities to ensure consistency with program goals. Duties will include but are not limited to being the first point of contact for the college, and DVM Student Services and Admissions; maintaining DVM applicant and student records; assisting with the planning of program-related and/or regional events; and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Dean's office.
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word, Excel, Sharepoint, and Outlook.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work some extended hours occasionally based on business needs.
Authorization to work in the US.
Experience working in reception.
Experience working with student-related services in higher education, including knowledge of university policies such as FERPA.
Experience working with databases.
