The Dietrich College Academic Advisory Center is seeking a Senior Academic Coordinator! This position provides support in the areas of academic administration, event planning and project management, and general office management. Academic responsibilities include website updates, processing online forms and running reports, attending/reporting on academic meetings, and content creation/updates in the Canvas Learning Management System. Event planning and management responsibilities include serving as the primary contact to plan, coordinate, and implement events as well as oversight of event budgets; facilitating event communications and overseeing promotion of events with the college communications team; the position also performs general office management including ordering supplies and processing purchase orders, expense reports, and other financial forms as needed.
Academic support responsibilities include:
attends university, college, and department-level meetings; takes minutes and/or reports to staff on meeting content;
maintains the Canvas Learning Management System including content creation and updates as well as basic video edits and captions for the purpose of educating and providing resources to new and current students;
processes online forms, maintains staff schedules, assists with website updates;
runs reports and compiles data to support various processes and staff needs;
provides administrative support for the Academic Action process at the end of each semester.
coordinates timing and logistics of events and programs, including but not limited to new student orientation and the annual Dietrich Day celebration;
provides on-site management and trouble-shooting during events and programs;
maintains thoughtful oversight of event budget including ordering supplies and catering and tracking expenditures;
facilitates communication among various members of Dietrich College, including members of the Dean's Leadership Team, faculty and advisors involved in large-scale events;
oversees the promotion of events and programs in partnership with the college communications team.
Office Management responsibilities include:
Provides general administrative assistance including ordering office supplies, processing purchase orders, procurement card verifications and expense reimbursements, planning and scheduling meetings, and directly responding to requests for information
Hires, supervises, and evaluates student workers
