Detailed Job Description Business Operations
Understands and monitors all parts of the online track within the Master of Architecture program, processes and systems with focus on overall operations and management.
Maintains coordinating aspects of the department of architecture and 2U relationship.
Coordinates required educational data collection, documentation and reporting information to manage and maintain all data and recordkeeping for the online track/program.
Tracks and communicates requirements for licensure and other regulatory requirements attached to successful completion of a degree.
Coordinates with marketing and recruiting teams to ensure that degree communication is clear and accurate.
Academic Operations
Assists with admissions review process: student application submissions, placement decisions and communication, record keeping, reporting and coordination.
Serves as the primary point of contact for advising-related questions, degree requirements, course sequencing, academic integrity, satisfactory progress, and degree certification.
Provides necessary support to all faculty regarding online track course delivery and coursework needs.
Provides student support regarding University and program-related services.
Assists the department head with coordination and scheduling of courses, course evaluations, and assessment of the online track.
Experience and Immersion Coordination
Manages event logistics for immersions and other special events for the online track, and in coordination with the on-campus track.
Assists and supports the faculty Co-op Coordinator and 2U (when applicable) with monitoring, processing and documenting student co-op requirements.
Assists and supports the faculty Global Experience Coordinator in monitoring, processing and documenting student global experience requirements. Works with 2U where 2U placement is involved.
Department/College Description The Golisano Institute for Sustainability (GIS) is a leading sustainability research and education organization at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent experience
5 years experience in an educational setting, e-learning and development, e-learning management, and/or project management.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a friendly and welcoming office environment
High degree of organizational skills and a strong work ethic
Sensitivity to the concerns of a diverse student body
Ability to multitask and prioritize/handle conflicting demands to meet priorities and deadlines
Reliability and a commitment to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work collaboratively with other Staff Assistants within GIS, and with many diverse groups across campus, as well as with online partnering organization (2U).
