Brooklyn College is soliciting applications for the Enrollment Registrar Manager (Deputy Registrar) position. Reporting to the college Registrar, the Deputy Registrar provides leadership by supervising dedicated staff and the daily operations of student records systems. This position supports excellence in student services at every opportunity.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Deputy Registrar???s duties include but are not limited to:
Manage the Registrar's office operations and projects.
Partner with the Registrar in the development, documentation, and implementation of practices that contribute to achieving the goals of the Office of the Registrar.
Interpret policies and provide implementation guidelines to campus staff, student, and faculty populations.
Manage, supervise, train, coach, and evaluate the Office of the Registrar staff. Analyze and delegate assignments to ensure maximum utilization of the team.
Provide analytical and statistical reports to assist the Registrar with strategic planning aligned with the division's goals. Recommend changes/improvements based on findings.
Assist the Registrar in communication planning for continuing students.
Oversee End of Term processes which may include collection of grades, academic standing, Deans List, Honors, Awards, and Post Enrollment Requisite Checking
Provide training to faculty and staff.
Create and maintain quality control for all the paper or electronic Registrar documents.
Maintains compliance with established record release procedures, including the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
Master???s degree preferred.
Functional knowledge of CUNYfirst, PeopleSoft, DegreeWorks, FACTS, and the flow of data from one system to another is highly desirable.
Demonstrated data management skills and related reporting capabilities; and strong analytical skills, including query development experience, along with use of Access, Excel and Structured Query Language (SQL)
Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and student information systems.
Demonstrated ability to present to large or small groups.
Proven record of exemplary customer service and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of constituents.
Ability to creatively and logically to solve problems and multi-task effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and diverse populations.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently as well as part of a time, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
Able to communicate effectively and be tactful and diplomatic in dealing with difficult issues and/or diverse organizations.

Oversees daily office operations; supervises the maintenance of accurate and secure student records; determines residency eligibility; enforces all retention and release policies regarding the confidentiality of student data
Improves and maintains department performance regarding information processing through effective system management and staff development
Reports on all matters pertaining to academic standards, academic petitions, student progress, and maintenance of enrollment eligibility
Assists with developing strategic plan, evaluating outcomes and ensuring compliance with legal requirements
Prepares analytical and statistical reports for management
Provides auditors with appropriate documentation as requested
May administer Registrar activities related to Return of Title lV funding
May manage professional and/or clerical staff
Performs related duties as assigned.
