Detailed Job Description
Supports the leadership and vision of the Chief Business Officer and Chief Learning Experience Officer, reporting to the Chief Business Officer. Plans, directs, and administers the operations of college admissions and records office; develops and implements policies, rules, and operational procedures related to student admissions, registration, student academic records, transfers, program completion, graduation, and other functions of admissions and records. Provides strategic guidance to department, and actively participates in the planning, organizing, and supervising of all registration and billing efforts.
Represents the University and RIT Certified to various institutional divisions as well as externally to governmental agencies, vendors, students and their families and/or the general public. Provides updates on the enrollment status of programs plus trending data and leading indicators for decision-making.
Establishes and implements short- and long-range department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement.
In partnership with Technology team members, maintains and upgrades the RIT Certified academic information infrastructures including academic records archives, on-line student database, and other electronic databases and information systems.
Develops and maintain accurate records of all program courses and curriculum requirements; responsible for planning for and supervising all pre-registration and registration for classes. Maintains student data and student records as well as curriculum management.
Trains staff to use software related to records administration.
Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management; issues various account analyses and reports for interim and year end audits.
Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse academic community. Provides customer service and administrative support utilizing outstanding organizational skills, analytical competency, and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of constituents including students and families, faculty and staff, and external collaborators.
Serves as an internal consultant for other managers, implements faculty academic policy, and reviews policy exception requests. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Business, Statistics, Economics
3-5 years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, in billing/registration or student services, including two years of supervisory experience, and with related duties inclusive of enrollment, billings and reconciliations preferred.
Proven ability to plan, organize, maintain, and manage the processes and operations of billing and registration services for the College; manages activities of the registration and billing departments to include: planning, implementing, administering and evaluating projects and services impacting the College operations from a billing/registration perspective
Outstanding track record developing, recommending, organizing, and administering the Colleges policies and procedures pertaining to the billing and registration of all students including new, transfer, former, continuing, credit and non-credit students. Ability to develop communication plan for billing and registration of students
Exceptional research, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required as well as experience with student information systems and development of reports and budgets.
Energetic and creative team player with demonstrated experience managing complex operations and systems.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft office products.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
A collaborative work approach with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with discretion, while displaying integrity and accountability.
Manages the fiscal affairs of the department, including budget development and priorities; exercises direct fiscal control over the approved budget.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgement
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Strong organizational and conceptual skills and a successful record of interacting with professionals across disciplines
