The Student Advisor is responsible for providing and implementing a holistic approach in both academic and career advising for students. S/he focuses efforts on assisting students with identifying and utilizing college resources that will support degree completion and further aid students in successfully accomplishing their academic and career goals. Under the supervision of the Director of Career and Transfer Services, this role will monitor the progression of their assigned students to ensure accuracy and timelessness to graduation. The Student Advisor will work closely with students to ensure program exploration, selection, and completion as well as course requirements. Additionally, the Student Advisor will be responsible for creating individualized graduation and career plans, and will also assist students in class registration.

Ability to prioritize various tasks and assignments. Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences, both orally and in writing. Self-directed, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities on a daily basis. Must have excellent customer service skills.
Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required plus applicable work experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
