The key leadership position to ensure a safe healthy work environment and living environment for our occupants is the Assistant Director of Health and Safety.
The Assistant Director of Health and Safety-Housing, under limited supervision, will be responsible for managing and providing the overall leadership for safety, health, and regulatory compliance for the Housing Department.
They are the liaison between the University Health and Safety Department, Facilities Management Department, and Housing. They review current processes for compliance, recommend future changes, implement adopted changes, and monitor and report on the overall effectiveness of programs. They help with internal projects that are completed by our staff, contractors, facilities management, or a combination of workforces. They head up on-site investigations for indoor air quality issues or other HAZMAT issues to determine root causes and remedial action.

Master's degree in natural or physical sciences, mathematics, public health, engineering, or related technical field and 3 years experience in environmental health programs or radiological health, or Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years related experience.
