Aids in the effective and efficient operation of the student conduct system through collaborative relationships with internal and external partnerships, data-driven practice, and an understanding of today's college students. As a Conduct Officer and advisor to Student Conduct Board hearing panels, processes and resolves campus-wide complaints of alleged violations of The Student Code of Conduct, with specific oversight of Housing and Residence Life-based cases. Investigates instances of student and student organization misconduct. Engages in office programming and outreach, increasing student, staff, and faculty awareness of The Student Code of Conduct, the Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct,and the Office of the Dean of Students. Coordinates student conduct-related training for groups and organizations. Recruits and trains Student Conduct Board members annually.
Bachelor's degree; at least two years of employment in higher education or a related field.
Master's degree in student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field. Prior experience working in or partnering with university housing and residence life at the graduate or professional level. Demonstrated collaboration with Title IX, law enforcement, athletics, counseling, case management, and student activities staff on a university campus. Experience as a student conduct decision-maker or hearing panel advisor/member. Prior experience using Maxient and Banner software.
