This is a limited term position that has the chief responsibility of supporting the academic success of cohorts of students, as part of a multi-year project to provide students with skills, coaching and connections to accelerate their professional careers after graduation. The Director of Engineering Student Success Projects is responsible for providing strategic direction and operational effectiveness in support of the University's mission and objectives. The position will provide wrap around student support services to assist the students in succeeding academically and professionally. The position provides leadership and oversight of the day-to-day campus operations/activities related to a comprehensive student success program and associated projects. The Director will deliver a world class student experience that results in exceptional academic outcomes and high student satisfaction as measured by retention and persistence, completion rates and satisfaction surveys. The position will also serve as an effective liaison between the Dean, other University stakeholders, and external partners to ensure excellent operations, data fidelity, and communications. Together with the COE Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, the Director will work to ensure standardized, seamless student navigation through the University's non-academic departments as the student progresses through the matriculation, attendance, and alumnus phases of the student lifecycle. The Director will be a visible and student facing position and will have the ability to effectively support and foster a diverse student and University community. Selected teaching may also be required. The role is also responsible for collaborating with the Dean to draft reports and presentations associated with program outcomes.
