Incumbent supports the School of Communications and the Dean's Office in event planning and management, strategic communications, community engagement, and student recruiting and engagement, for both online and in-person events. Events and activities include Communication Careers Week, Media Academy, Summer Camps, partnering with outside organizations for events on campus or off, high school visiting speakers program, community college relations, prospective student events, outside recruiting activities, guest speakers, producing a quarterly newsletter, social media, webpage content, publicity, invitations, and news stories representing the School.
The position reports to the Dean, works closely with the Dean's Office staff, and requires close cooperation with the Chairs and staff of the academic departments, student services, and other departments of Webster University.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT
Successful experience with hosting and event management.
Knowledge and experience hosting, coordinating, and developing online webinars, meetings, and conferences using the Zoom online meeting platform and similar technologies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; visual media skills also desirable.
Strategic communication experience, including strategic use of social media; outreach and engagement activities, relationship management, or related experience.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to prioritize, focus, and manage multiple demands simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and accurately when completing multiple assignments.
Ability to work and communicate successfully with diverse audiences, both internal and external.
Ability to manage projects on budget and deadline, with high quality results.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Facility with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other common software tools; basic graphic design skills and tools also desirable.
Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with faculty, students, and staff colleagues throughout the university, and externally.
Preferred Qualifications Requisite Experience*
