Student Life Manager- Associate Director of Student Life
TheStudent Development and Leadershipin Queens College is currently conducting a search for a Student Life Manager- Associate Director of Student Life. The position is responsible for the successful development of a comprehensive program that supports leadership development and civic engagement while promoting school spirit. The successful candidate will provide oversight to Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility, Co-Curricular Programs, Special Events, along with supporting our student clubs and organizations.
Reporting directly to the Director of Student Development & Leadership, the Associate Director will perform the following duties:
Provide guidance and oversight to the following programs: Special Events, Student Activities and Leadership
Develop and implement student leadership training series sponsored by the Office of Student Development and Leadership.
Create, implement and analyze an ongoing assessment plan to measure student learning outcomes
Oversee the management of student led clubs and organizations, ensuring proper registration protocols and policies and procedures are adhered to
Advise all Greek letter organizations and Greek Councils, providing guidance and ensuring a clear a vision for leadership and community building is implemented
Provide guidance and oversight to OSDL First Year Program for Students of Color
Serve as the liaison for all on and off campus entities for major special events
Develop, manage and lead leadership development programs for clubs and organizations
Serve and advise Student Association Committees
Support various administrative responsibilities for the Office of Student Development and Leadership
Oversees evening and weekend events as necessary
Attendance and staffing of various evening and weekend events and trips are required for this position.
Bachelor's degree and six years related experience required.
Master???s Degree preferred
Three (3) years of experience working with and advising students clubs and organizations
Two (2) years of experience working and planning leadership/development trainings
Working experience in the Division of Student Affairs
Demonstrated experience in the development of programs and events (small, large, major) from early stages to demonstrable learning outcomes
Experience facilitating large and diverse group presentations/ trainings
Ability to collaborate with others and sustain professional relationships with students, faculty/staff and external constituencies

Manages the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of student programs and quality of life issues, promoting the personal development of a diverse student population.
Evaluates student needs and trends to develop a range of student services
Develops and administers specific programs and general activities in support of student needs
Develops relationships with college departments and outside community organizations to understand student needs and available development opportunities
Represents the College in campus-wide and university-wide groups and councils focusing on priority student issues
Manages staff, fiscal resources, and facilities supporting student affairs activities
Performs related duties as assigned.
