Detailed Description: The Student Success Specialist plays an integral role in the overall successful operation of the Knauss School of Business Student Success Center (SSC). The Specialist is responsible for managing, coordinating, organizing and supporting projects and processes within the SSC as well as managing the front desk in a fast-paced, highly trafficked setting serving both undergraduate and graduate business students. The Specialist supports the Associate and Assistant Deans of Student Success in efforts to communicate and implement student-related policies, deliver inclusion and wellness initiatives, and initiate student outreach in order to provide proactive and student-centric, personalized services that empower business students to identify, pursue and achieve their academic, personal and career ambitions. The Specialist is accountable for updating and maintaining information regarding student academic files, and university course management systems. The Specialist monitors office supplies and equipment among SSC as well as coordinates schedules and special events, as needed. The Specialist must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and multitask during busy times in the office. Duties and Responsibilities Successful Operation of the KSB Student Success Center (SSC) and Student Worker Supervision
Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming and assisting all stakeholders who contact the SSC.
Ensure that all inquiries are directed to the appropriate departments.
Manage and train the team of student workers who cover the front desk/reception for the Student Success Center (SSC) and Business Admissions.
Provide oversight of student tasks and responsibilities, including the projects the student workers complete for the SSC team.
Conduct daily/weekly check-ins with student workers, as needed, to ensure projects are completed on-time and accurately.
Disseminate accurate information about business majors, minors and graduate programs to stakeholders, including undeclared students and prospective students and parents.
Assists in monitoring and coordinating responses to inquiries submitted through email or Case Management for the SSC.
Serve as the purchaser for the SSC, monitoring and ordering equipment and supplies as needed.
Assist with room reservations, catering and programming for SSC team events and events hosted by the SSC.
Support the Center with all processes related to providing effective, efficient and student-centric services.
Administrative support for the Associate and Assistant Deans for KSB Student Success Center
Support the Associate and Assistant Deans with special projects as assigned.
Coordinate communication with students on behalf of the Associate and Assistant Deans.
Assist with the coordination of academic integrity hearings, grade grievances and faculty polls to gather information to assist with faculty alert outreach reports and other academic or student wellness concerns.
Record Maintenance/Data Entry
Maintain and update information for student academic files and records within all appropriate platforms (e.g. Salesforce and Maxient).
Enter updates to the graduate and undergraduate catalogs through the appropriate university-supported systems.
Update listservs for the School of Business programs and monitor announcement requests.
Business Scholarships, Honors and Recognitions
Serve in the Honors Convocation Committee to assist with the logistics for Honors Convocation events and coordinating awards for recipients.
Coordinate Beta Gamma Sigma invitations and annual initiation ceremony.
Coordinate invitations for appropriate students to join Beta Alpha Phi.
Assist with the coordination of graduate business and other awards.
Prepare and send undergraduate dean's honor list letters at the end of each Fall and Spring semester.
Disseminate student scholarship information and coordinate scholarship submissions and the review process.
Business Student Affairs Support
Support the Center with all processes related to providing effective, efficient and student-centric services. Assist students with questions on options and procedures related to academic policies and procedures (e.g. academic integrity, grade grievances, probation and wellness support).
Exercise self-initiative by continuously analyzing and improving day-to-day operations and processes.
Use independent judgment to accommodate the needs of the university by determining proper corrective action or by referring the problem to other appropriate personnel.
Maintain and update electronic shared drives to organize and optimize the office's record keeping of documents related to office functions.
Coordinate with the Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts and other offices regarding academic policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality due to the nature of interactions with students, parents, faculty and other Knauss School of Business and university personnel.
Maintain a welcoming, student-centric office environment.
Disseminate student scholarship information and coordinate scholarship application submissions and the review process.
Background check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma)
3 years of work experience in business or education in administrative support
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; Bachelors degree can substitute for 2 years of experience
3+ years of full-time work experience in high education administration

In addition, the Knauss School of Business offers two different compressed work schedule options following a 9/75 structure in which employees have 1 to 1.5 days off over every two-week period as well as a hybrid option for those positions that can complete some work remotely.
