This position is responsible for the administrative leadership for the TRIO Student Support Services program to ensure the retention and graduation of low income and first- generation students and students who identify with a disability.
Oversee the implementation of SSS grant objectives, programming, and services to ensure compliance with TRIO/Federal legislation and regulations.
Supervise all aspects of staffing (selection, training, development, and performance).
Oversee budget management and maintenance to assure compliance with TRIO regulations and effective and efficient us of financial resources.
Provide personal, academic, and career support and financial literacy to a caseload of students.
Attend to administrative tasks related to the success and continuation of the SSS program.
Master's degree in education, student personnel, or related area.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in designing, managing, or implementing SSS or similar projects.
4+ years of experience working with first-generation students, students with limited income, and students who identify with a disability.
Sensitivity to eligible student needs and confidentiality and privacy issues.
Experience in supervising staff and student workers.
Experience in grant administration and budget oversight.
Effective written, oral, computer (database proficiency) and human relations skills; ability to publicly represent SSS.
