Responsibilities: | Advises students and families in planning and preparing for living in university managed housing. Directs activities related to contracting and leasing of housing units and making assignments. Serves as a key component of the division's outreach, both with prospective students and families, as well as collaborating with campus offices. Provides leadership and consultation with sensitive housing-related initiatives and divisional housing-initiatives. - 30% Advises internal and external stakeholders about housing units, contracts, and options
- 15% Strategizes, advises, and resolves complicated and sensitive housing-related issues, policy questions, requests, and appeals, including matters related to student resident disabilities and gender identity
- 10% Drafts, implements, and maintains annual contracts and memos with a variety of campus programs and academic departments
- 10% Leads divisional outreach efforts with prospective students and families, including the housing tour program
- 10% Analyzes data for housing assignments and develops solutions for student issues
- 15% Plans, directs, and implements housing initiatives and manages occupancy for all university terms
- 5% Collaborates with campus groups and/or departments and maintains successful campus partnerships, while representing the interests of the division
- 5% May supervise student employees

Tasks: | - Independently resolve non-routine concerns with housing issues, scholarship programs, residential learning communities, policy questions, and appeals raised by students, family members, or university faculty and staff.
- Administer and/or assist with a mass assignment process for close to 8,000 new students as well as a returning resident sign up process for 900-1000 students.
- Analyze, map processes, and strategize with housing information systems and campus technology staff in developing and maintaining effective processes and programs to maximize administrative functionality and enhance the end user experience.
- Test, troubleshoot, and monitor UW-Madison's housing information system including the My UW Housing portal to ensure accuracy of data and positive end user experience.
- Collaborate with the Division of Continuing Studies and other campus partners on housing related issues in support of campus initiatives to increase summer term participation.
- Act as a primary representative for the Division of University Housing at admissions presentations to high school students and their families.

Education: | Preferred Master's Degree Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, or other related academic discipline preferred. |
Qualifications: | Two years, full-time experience in Residence Life/Student Housing, college or university student services office, or other educational institution preferred. |

Salary: | Minimum $50,000 ANNUAL (12 months) Depending on Qualifications This is a full-time appointment. The starting annual salary is $50,000 or higher based on qualifications and includes a competitive retirement and benefits package. |
Additional Information: | Primary schedule for this position is 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday including some evening and weekends depending on operational need.
Schedule alterations as operations and position expectations demand.
