Position Summary:

Using professional student services theories and concepts, performs a limited range of duties and responsibilities within a Student Life program. Works independently to provide information and interpretation of clearly defined policies, procedures and regulations. Receives direction regarding more complex issues and / or program(s). Identifies individual student needs for programs and services and advises on appropriate programs and resources.
Compensation Range:
$48,500 - $57,500

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience within a related field
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Must have a drivers license
Knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Ability to multi-task, verbal communication, written communication and organization skills. Knowledge of college student development and the ability to effectively conceptualize, coordinate, and assess meaningful learning opportunities for students Knowledge of the services and resources available first-generation students, and experience developing partnerships and cultivating collaborative working relationships with internal and external constituencies including local, state, and national organizations, ideally focused on educational access and success Knowledge of University processes and procedures. Working knowledge of current issues facing students in higher education, particularly historically underrepresented student groups Able to coordinate educational workshops and facilitate discussions Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Skills in service orientation, active listening, critical thinking. Interpersonal skills. Able to create, implement, and evaluate student learning outcomes Abilities in problem identification, reasoning. Understanding of University rules and regulations. Extensive experience with leadership development theories and practice from a student retention and outreach framework
Special Conditions Required:
May work occasional nights and weekends. Other Tasks as assigned
