GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, the primary function will be assisting students over the phone, entering data into computer files, maintaining student records, and providing backup to other staff as needed.

• Spend at least 80% of the day assisting students over the phone.
• Represent the College in the most positive manner to students, parents and community members.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and community members.
• Assist students with registration and billing issues.
• Process enrollment verifications, high school transcripts and information requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Be able and willing to represent the College in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current students, clients, suppliers and the community we serve.
• Be self-motivated to provide student services and to continually develop the technical skills necessary to successfully perform Enrollment Services functions.
• Must enjoy working with other people and the public and exhibit skill in working accurately with complex details.
• Must remain calm when confronted with many competing demands for attention.
• Must develop working knowledge of student information system.
• Must be a positive individual and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Be able to handle confidential information in a professional manner.

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

• High school diploma.
• Customer service experience.
• Must have recent and relevant experience or education related to modern databases and other computerized systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least one year of experience working in higher education is preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.
