Overview
Academic Advisor to join Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). This position will advise graduate students in CSE department on academic programs, policies and procedures, transfer credits, students on probation, and will make recommendations when appropriate. The academic advisor will also assist the coordinator of academic advising in related duties.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, or other appropriate field.
Required Experience:
2+ years experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years experience advising students at the college or university level, preferably in computer science.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of standard office software. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
