Job Description:
The OneStop Navigator (OSN) will provide high quality advising and support for students on issues related to enrollment and student services. The OSN is responsible for assisting current and prospective students in navigating complex admission, assessment, registration records, advising, financial aid, tuition and general college information. Furthermore, the OSN directly supports students' efforts to successfully enroll, persist and graduate through face-to-face, phone and online platforms. The OSN is also responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity, equity and inclusion in all forms at Hennepin Technical College.
Specific Duties Include:
- Engage in recruitment and outreach efforts with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that conversion goals for prospective and new students are met.
- Establish goals and assist in calling campaigns to increase recruitment, retention and graduation rates.
- Collaborate with internal and external groups to meet college and department goals and objectives.
- Advise current students to resolve concerns by maintaining in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to admissions, advising, financial aid, registration and records.
- Implement innovative approaches to increase enrollment and registration activity of current students
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications (expected to have to enter job)
- One (1) year of experience in an Enrollment Management area including Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration and Records, Advising, Student Life, Diversity or a related customer service field
- Experience working with students from diverse and traditionally underserved backgrounds and with varied needs
- Effective written and verbal communication skills sufficient to participate in discussions and communicate with various stakeholders
- Comprehensive computer and related technology skills, including web-based resources, chat platform, social media
- Able to manage multiple task and responsibilities in a fast pace environment
- Ability to interpret institutional, state and federal policies and regulations and translate them into advising procedures and processes
Preferred Qualifications:

- Two (2) years of experience in an Enrollment Management area including Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration and Records, Advising, Student Life, Diversity or a related customer service field
- Knowledge of and experience in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System
- Knowledge of ISRS, Perceptive Content/ImageNow, uAchieve, and/or Transferology
- Knowledge of FERPA, MN Data practices, MN Department of Higher Education, and/or PSEO regulations
- Proficiency in a second language, particularly in Hmong, Karen, Spanish, Somali, Oromo or Vietnamese
- Prior Call Center Experience
