The Secondary to Post-Secondary Program Coordinator under the supervision of the Technical Careers (TC) Division’s Program Improvement Manager will coordinate the matriculation of Career & Technical Education (CTE) students to TC programs while expanding Early Middle College (EMC) programming. This position will be responsible for aligning the CTE outcomes to Guided Pathways standards for equitable pathways to in-demand jobs. The responsibilities of this position will provide administrative coordination of curricula, courses, and section offerings for Early Middle College students. This includes the alignment of programs and processes for secondary students as they transition into postsecondary TC programs. Collaborate with Program Directors to coordinate the development of pre-apprenticeship programs for CTE and EMC students. The incumbent will serve as the main point of contact for students and faculty in Technical Careers occupational programs.
The Secondary to Post-Secondary Program Coordinator is to organize and advise students along curricular pathways, monitor students’ progress, and document students’ efforts towards completion. Additionally, this position will lead and manage specific recruitment and retention activities that promote CTE programs to potential students, industry partners, and community members focusing on underrepresented populations including woman and minorities. This person will participate in regional and national initiatives that concentrate on enhancing CTE, EMC and pre-apprenticeship partnerships with Technical Careers. The incumbent will supervise a student employee to support program activities.
Bachelor's Degree, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated experience in academic and/or training operations
Significant experience providing support to students, developing business, community and K-12 partnerships and event organization and planning or similar responsible activities.
Demonstrated ability to oversee the work of others
Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in academic and/or training operations.
Related work experience in Career in Technical Education programs, high school to post-secondary transitions, and/or student advising.
