The CUNY School of Medicine (CUNY SoM) at The City College of New York (CCNY) located in the heart of Harlem, is the only medical school in the City University of New York system and the only public medical school in Manhattan. Building upon 50 years of success as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, we transitioned to the CUNY School of Medicine in 2017. The CUNY SoM offers an accelerated BS/MD (7-year program) and a Physician Assistant Master's Degree (27 months program). The Curriculum Specialist will report to the Executive Director of Evaluation and Education Research under the general oversight of the Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Medical Education. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Curriculum Mapping Specialist???s duties include but are not limited to the following:
Oversee curriculum mapping documentation for the purpose of recording, updating, and monitoring curricular content.
Collect curricular content and outcomes information; enter data into a course management system, LEO.
Assist in the improvement of the curriculum mapping process, generate and format reports, and disseminate information to relevant stakeholders.
Provide training and support to all institutional, affiliate faculty, and staff on the use of the academic technology management system.
Ensure that standards for data collection and data entry are followed based on specific terminology management system.
Participate in the coordination of and liaise with all course directors and academic committees to collect and distribute any relevant course resources, reports, training guides, etc.
Generate reports related to content alignment, integration, adequacy of instruction and assessment.
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.
Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work in the office.
Bachelor???s degree and four years??? related experience required.
Master's degree preferred.
Excellent communication and time management skills and be well organized.
Familiarity with medical education terminology.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Access; Experience with or able to learn academic learning management systems such as Blackboard??, LEO??. Work collaboratively with faculty and staff from a wide range of disciplines and cultural backgrounds.

Participates in the daily coordination of academic and administrative activities of a College's specialized academic program under management direction.
Supports program development, student service delivery, outcome evaluation and instructor/student recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
Recommends, implements and evaluates strategies to expand program offerings

Develops and maintains relationships with various College offices to improve student and faculty services
