Position Details:Summary of Duties:The Pre-clerkship Coordinator position provides complex and confidential coordination of the clerkship program and support to the Associate Dean of Clinical Education on the WSU Vancouver campus. This position exercises independent judgement and discretion in work related to the day to day operations of the College of Medicine campus in Vancouver. This position will serve as the first point of contact for the office and fostering relationships between WSU and external entities. While coordinating the Pre-Clerkship programs, this role will also be a support and advising resource for students that are in their Pre-Clerkship years.
Your application materials will be evaluated for either a Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1 job title or a Program Specialist 2 job title.Essential Job Functions:- 45% Pre-Clerkship Coordination

Required Qualifications - Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1 (SSC/A1): Positions require a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Requirement for the SSC/A1 job title: Bachelor's degree in health sciences, business administration, public administration, education or other related field. Experience may be substituted for education.
Required Qualifications - Program Specialist 2: A Bachelor's degree OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements for both job titles:- Demonstrated experience building complex schedules, and using scheduling software tools.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments and solve problems.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills and ability to initiate and complete projects independently and with specific deadlines.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in or familiarity with clinical operations/physician offices/hospital administration.
- Demonstrated experience and training in healthcare delivery (manager, ward clerk, etc.).
- Demonstrated awareness of and ability to collaborate and integrate with the local host agencies.
