Position Summary:
Forest Park Science Department is looking for students who want to gain skills working with our dynamic team of professors and staff in introductory science courses. Our student workers will work with our science lab coordinator to manage the biology, chemistry, and physics labs. Student workers will be responsible for lab set-up, organization, and clean-up; they will gain valuable workforce skills in our fast-pace collaborative lab environment. Students will have responsibility to ensure aseptic technique and equipment functionality. Hours are flexible around student academic schedule.
Primary Duties Performed:
Lab Set up Equipment maintenance Lab Clean-up and organization
Required Qualifications:
Must be a registered St. Louis Community College student prior to applying for a student worker position. Must maintain student status during employment.
For Chemistry: Must have completed CHM 101 For Biology: Must have completed Bio 111 or Bio 140. For Physics: Must have completed Phy 111 or Mth 140.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications
Science instructor recommendation in addition to completing intro course for the subject. Students may be utilized in multiple areas with experience.
Salary Range:
$15.00 per hour
