Graduation Evaluation and Degree Audit Processing
Perform graduation evaluation process for undergraduate and graduate degree applicants.
Investigate complex issues and accurately resolve problems related to degree requirements and exception processing.
Develop processes and procedures related to the Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS), generating data and providing analysis for decision making and continued process improvement.
Possess expert knowledge and appropriately administer a myriad of University curriculum, policies and procedures.
Regularly communicate and collaborate with students, academic department faculty/staff, academic advisors and Academic Affairs as needed.
Keep abreast of new developments in student information system functionality and application technology.
As needed, serve as an active member of campus bodies representing the Records Office.
Veteran Enrollment Verification and Certification (School Certifying Official, SCO)
Provide direct student service to military students and/or their dependents using veteran's benefits in certifying through the Veteran's Administration (VA) portal system (VA-ONCE).
Stay apprised of and ensure compliance with Veterans Administration rules and regulations in the processing of veteran enrollment verification.
Work collaboratively with other units and internal partners across the University to resolve issues in Veteran enrollment certification, such as Veterans Resource Center, Financial Services, Financial Aid, and Department Chairs and Faculty.
Liaison with VA support resources, claim processing and SCO's at other institutions as needed.
Communicate with students in the processing of enrollment verification/certification to proactively resolve concerns and address challenges
Maintain meticulous certification files and notes for routine VA auditing cycles.
Teacher Licensure Specialist
Support the certification process for teacher licensure, collaborating with Assistant Registrar peers.
Evaluate completion of licensure program requirements and make the appropriate recommendations for all licensure requests.
Maintain a working relationship with personnel from the School of Education, relevant academic departments, MN Department of Education and other state licensure agencies.
Provide assistance, information and guidance to students related to licensure process and documents needed.

Bachelor's Degree at time of application
Minimum 2 years professional experience in higher education student services, student records, Admission, Advising or other related administrative experience.
Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of student information systems.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with university personnel concerning policies and student concerns.
General knowledge of data privacy laws.
Demonstrated ability to interact with multiple and diverse groups of people.
Proficient with standard word processing, spreadsheet, and data base application software.
Demonstrated ability to develop creative strategies and action plans to achieve results.
