The Assistant Coach for Women's Tennis assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the Women's Tennis program at Cornell University. This includes assisting with team practice and competitions, providing input on player evaluation, strength and conditioning programming, community service, video analysis, social media, and other decisions concerning team operations. The Assistant Coach also has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach.
Please note: This is a full-time, 10-month position. There is no visa sponsorship available for this position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination.
- As a leader of students involved in pursuing a college education, the coach needs to understand and value the four-year college experience.
- Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and in working with student athletes.
- Knowledgeable of NCAA rules
Preferred Qualifications
- College coaching and playing experience preferred.
