Graduate Student Services and Data ManagerAbout the OpportunitySummaryThe Student Services and Data Manager supports Co-op Coordinators within the College of Science, as they work closely with students who are preparing for, in, or completing their time in Northeastern's signature cooperative education program.
Specifically, the Student Services and Data Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of Co-op Coordinators (and through them, students and employers): providing onboarding to employer partners, guiding partners through the hiring process, tracking assignments, and providing data management and analysis on assigned portfolio.
Additionally, the Student Services and Data Manager will assist assigned Co-op Coordinators in preparing materials for effective co-op education and assessment, participate in organizing co-op related events including on-campus employer interviews, and conduct proactive research into companies and opportunities that align with College job development efforts.
ResponsibilitiesData and Operations Support - Compile and analyze data, information, and develop advanced data reports relevant to student job search/hiring, events, employer surveys, etc.; create forms and summarize data sets through Google Apps, Microsoft Excel, Tableau and other applications.
- Coordinate efforts to uphold the completeness and integrity of data in various co-op systems; serve as liaison with central co-op technology team.
- Maintain relevant student and co-op databases including Banner, Argos, SalesForce and Symplicity.
- Develop communication materials and manage distribution of information, timelines, reminders, events and surveys for employers and students.
- Assist with preparation of presentations and dissemination of information using PowerPoint and other tools as needed.
Student & Employer Support - Assist with preparation of co-op class materials; provide support for Canvas course administration and course enrollment activities.
- Follow up on employer evaluations and student self-assessments of the student co-op work experience.
- Lead and/or assist with organization of co-op related events and on-campus employer interviews.
- Conduct industry research on companies and opportunities that align with the college's job development efforts.
Special Projects- Assist COS Co-op with special projects related to employer relations, program administration, events, and new initiatives as needed.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in liberal arts or related field required. Candidate should have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in an academic or business environment. A high level of proficiency with technology, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, are expected. Applicant must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and complete tasks for a number of different people. Proven success working both independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced and diverse environment is preferred.
