Summary of Duties:
Serves as designated subject matter expert (SME) for assigned mission-critical/enterprise hardware/software systems providing support and problem resolution including vendor, stakeholder, and local resource interactions.
Learn to operate and maintain modern technologies; assist with the transition to new systems.
Maintain, operate, and upgrade existing systems as required.
Consults with stakeholders and vendors to identify resolutions for complex issues.
Review Integration options for software components with internal and external systems.
Evaluates new technologies and systems for integration into or replacement of the system.
Identifies vendor(s) and/or local resources required to resolve issues.
Coordinate with stakeholders to test and execute software upgrades and updates.
Performs complex issue analysis to ensure systems are secure, effective, efficient, and available
Resolves problems requiring complex analysis and the selection of the most suitable solution(s)/processes(s) available. Selects from best practice models/strategies to resolve problems.
Reviews system(s) to ensure that configuration meets compliance/best practices to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired.
Experience with enterprise Windows servers in an Active Directory environment.
Experience with TCP/IP networking.
Experience with enterprise virtual server environments.
Familiarity with cloud-hosted environments, including AWS, Azure, etc.
Working knowledge of information system technologies, implementations, principles, and practices.
Ability to analyze business requirements, assess the value of information technologies, and design information systems to meet business needs.
Demonstrated customer service experience.
Demonstrated ability to appropriately prioritize multiple tasks, projects, or assignments.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated experience in information systems policy, process, and standards development and documentation.
Experience with data centers and rack mounted server hardware.
Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V.
Experience with application management in an enterprise environment.
Familiarity with legal aspects of information security.
