Position Summary:
This role serves as the primary coordinator for Northwestern Dining and reports directly to the Director of Dining.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing excellent customer service to our students, staff, faculty, and parents. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of dining including serving as the primary contact for email, phone, and website communication. This position will also work with the CBORD Odyssey system for meal plan management and help the Director of Dining with a variety of special projects. Additionally, the Program Coordinator supports Northwestern University’s Quarantine/Isolation Student Housing by communicating meal preferences to the chef team daily.
Workplace Strategies: This position is eligible to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
Principal Accountabilities:
Administration 75%
- Manages day-to-day operations.
- Ensures that program/project mission, values, guidelines, policies, and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Manages design and development of program databases; compiles and analyzes data; prepares reports.
- Reviews processes and recommends changes to incorporate technology as appropriate into administrative, recruitment, marketing, and educational components.
- Identifies service improvement opportunities that will better enable program/project to achieve its goals and objectives.
- Acts as liaison to IT to ensure technology systems are properly installed and maintained.
Evaluation 10%
- Observes program sessions and interacts with participants for purpose of gaining consumer insight, growing and strengthening program knowledge, and optimizing client satisfaction.
- Coordinates the collection, analysis and reporting of required information for surveys, review documents, public information documents, etc.
- Analyzes evaluation data from students, parents, participants, etc. to assist in program/project development and updates.
- Implements corrective actions required as a result of surveys or other indicators.
Student Support 5%
- Completes program/project logistical details such as scheduling, facilities, technology, audits, etc.
- Advises students regarding dining matters.
- Resolves administrative and database issues.
Communication, Outreach and Recruitment 5%
- Strengthens partnerships with external resources by defining, promoting and marketing benefits of participation and involvement in the program.
- Reviews market trends to recommend future plans to increase revenue, participation, engagement, etc.
Miscellaneous 5%
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
- 1 year program/project administration or other relevant experience.
