Administers the Office of Student Affairs, and/or Advising for the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine.
- Administers office functions related to student affairs, records, advising, and/or federally funded programs.
- Assists students with all components of the application for residency.
- Oversees the college's enrollment services, including data entry, registration and class schedules; prepares and submits enrollment reports required by internal and external agencies.
- Oversees the evaluation of transfer credit, grade change forms, and applications for graduation.
- Establishes and oversees student organizations, activities, and wellness.
- Develops student information literature; represents the college at activities relating to student outreach, academics, and/or commencement.
- May assist in the development, writing, and submission of grant applications for the external funding of student recruitment and retention services.
- Serves on committees that deal with student life, including but not limited to: curriculum, scheduling, retention, and admissions.
- May oversee the college's student orientation and commencement committees.
- Attends annual conferences and meetings as required for best practices.
- Represents the college on a variety of internal and external committees and task forces; advises the dean on student affairs, external funding, and academic matters; advises and/or counsels students regarding class schedule, career choice, and other personal, academic, or financial aid matters.
- Develops budgets and oversees expenditures for the department; identifies and evaluates computer software and other computer needs.

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum (7) years of directly job-related experience.

This position will direct the day to day operations related to Student Affairs for the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. This position provides support to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Admissions and Outreach in the daily operation of the student affairs office.
