Position Details:Summary of Duties: With new legislation on name, image, and likeness, the student-athlete development unit is essential in providing education for student-athletes to adapt to and benefit from the new legislation. In addition to current student-athlete development programming under the Cougar Pursuit program, the
Director of Student-Athlete Innovation is focused on developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum for personal branding, entrepreneurship, and name, image, and likeness education. Through educational workshops, in class lectures, special events, and storytelling, the role will contribute to the personal growth of WSU student-athletes.
Required Qualifications: - Positions require a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated successful experience with program development and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience advising, counseling, or related experience.
- Experience facilitating educational workshops.
- Demonstrates a strong personal brand on social media platforms.
- Demonstrated successful experience with program development and implementation.
- Demonstrated familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
- Prior project management experience.
