Detailed Job DescriptionPlease note: Must be able to work occasional nights/weekends for on campus eventsThe staff assistant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers of the Saunders College of Business Office of Student Services. This position has various administrative responsibilities with respect to both the undergraduate and graduate (non-executive) programs, including but not limited to cooperative education, enrollment, pre-certification, and creating reports and communications. Additional duties include:
- Assist with recruitment activities and items, including information sessions, responses to inquiries, and marketing materials, as well as with events such as orientations.
- Oversee and delegate work to student workers.
- Complete undergraduate and graduate program tasks in areas such as recruitment, records, reports and communications.
- Provide customer service to all visitors and callers to the Office of Student Services, assist in overseeing and delegating work to student workers, and interface regularly with faculty, staff and students regarding student needs.
- Work regularly with faculty, staff and students to complete various SIS tasks and the administrative requirements for cooperative education, including enrollment and grade submissions.
- Assist with various office projects/perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong customer service skills with at least 3 years of customer service experience
- Strong time management, organizational, and teamwork skills, including ability to manage multiple demands and tasks
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong competencies with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for tasks such as mail merges, work with spreadsheets, and presentations
- Experience with working with databases and willingness to learn new software/technologies, including the RIT Student Information System
- Adhere to strict confidentiality of all student and other data; RIT institutional knowledge of processes, resources, and personnel
