Description of Work:
The Center for Entrepreneurship – Program and External Relations Manager will be responsible for representing the Center for Entrepreneurship and working collaboratively across campus to catalyze the strategic engagement, cultivation, and growth of a burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem at the University of Nebraska. This position will engage and connect a diverse network of partners, mentors, resource providers, students, and sources of innovative thought both on and off campus. Responsibilities include working closely with the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and key stakeholders to pursue financial and programmatic development goals; managing the Entrepreneurship Fellows Program; partnering with the NU Foundation to engage with alumni and potential donors; managing all Center events and competitions; managing financial resources; recruiting and supervising student workers; working with the Communications, Marketing and External Relations team in the College of Business to promote the Center's mission, purpose, programs and events; and assisting the Director with special assignments.
We are seeking an individual who is a self-starter, social influencer, networker, highly organized, and is passionate about helping the Center find and engage with alumni, donors, community partners, staff, faculty and students. This person will promote business creation and economic growth in Nebraska via the identification and coordination of partner and donor connections and the facilitation of events that engage students, community members and partners from both inside and outside the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. We are seeking an individual who works well without supervision, with a team and with multiple academic and community partners in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up—like environment. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (earned by August 2022) and 3 years relevant experience, including experience planning, organizing, and coordinating events. Experience in strategic development of cooperative and professional relationships to pursue financial and programmatic goals. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and programs to provide excellence within a demanding, high-visibility environment Proven ability to develop cooperative, professional working relationships and maintain them over time. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint. Responsibility, a positive attitude, confidence, flexibility, and strong communication skills. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to creatively implement solutions. Demonstrated leadership ability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree In student affairs or related field. 1 year of experience mentoring and managing others
Posted Salary: $55,000/yr minimum
