Under the direction of the Senior Associate Dean, the Assistant Dean of Student Success develops and directs student academic support initiatives and evaluates and reports on effectiveness of those activities. Reviews assessment data and uses data analytics to identify issues, solutions, and opportunities in student success. Oversees and ensures students smooth transition to college, course registration, course transfer, progress toward graduation, and graduate in a timely manner. Provides management of the CHSP Student Services Office administrative staff and oversees advising, recruitment, retention, and career development for CHSP.
Primary Accountabilities include:
Develop and direct student academic support initiatives and evaluate and report on effectiveness of those activities.
Create and implement policies and procedures that pertain to the administrative operations of the Office of Student Services.
Lead college strategic planning for recruitment and retention in alignment with college strategic plan.
Manage day-to-day operations in the Office of Student Services (e.g., NCAA verification, study abroad, DARS adjustments, exceed max hours, special grade reports, etc.)
Degree conferral/commencement planning
Ensure adequate coverage and representation for Bobcat Student Orientation
Ensure college representation at admissions events and enrollment planning
Supervise administrate staff in Office of Student Services.
Maintain an advising load (30 students maximum)
College representation at Assistant Dean's Council
Oversee college Student Advisory Council
Dean's office liaison for scholarship committee and awards committee
At least 5 years' related experience.
Prior experience in strategic planning and leadership.
At least 3 years of management experience.
