The Associate Director of Student Services assists the Director/College of Science & Engineering (CSE) Student Success Center and staff in the management of daily operations of the CSE Student Success Center and provides leadership as the Director of the Science & Engineering Residential College (SERC). This position manages and attends recruitment events on and off-campus, directs the Science & Engineering Residential College, collaborates with CSE faculty and staff in the implementation of CSE major advising activities as needed, and conducts appointments with prospective freshmen and transfer students. This position assists the Director/CSE Student Success Center in managing CSE Student Success Center advising student services and providing career and academic opportunities to the CSE student population. The associate director reports to a member of the dean's leadership team to coordinate activities.
Bachelor's degree. Three years of relevant experience which includes experience working directly with undergraduate students. Willingness to perform occasional evening and weekend work. Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment. Ability to plan, establish priorities, and handle multiple tasks and projects. Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive attitude. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
