Summary of Duties:
This position has primary responsibility for Student Financial Services (SFS) scholarships and oversight of athletic aid processing including the personnel management of SFS advisors. This position has primary responsibility for directing and controlling packaging and awarding of financial aid and scholarship programs. This position serves as the primary contact for SFS scholarships administration; including fostering liaison efforts with various campus partners and departments. This position has participation in internal and external working committees. Position duties and responsibilities will be performed in support of the office vision, mission and values as well as institutional mission and goals.
Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least one (1) year of managerial experience. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment. Positions may require applicable licensure and/or certification.
Four (4) years of applicable student financial services experience
Demonstrated first-hand experience in customer service and familiarity with working with diverse populations.
Developed skills in all areas of written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated experience conducting small and large group presentations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/evenings.
Exceptional problem-solving, project management, decision-making, and visionary skills.
Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
Experience with student services in a higher education setting especially Admissions, Student Accounts, Academic Advising, Registrar, Graduate School, Athletics, and/or Housing and Dining.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team within a customer/client services environment.
Experience with PeopleSoft.
