Oversees the administration and operation of a comprehensive compliance program for 24 NCAA DII varsity sports and NCAA DI men's ice hockey, and approximately 650 student-athletes, ensuring full compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Oversees and manages the athletic scholarship award process and monitors athletics aid budget.
Creates and implements a plan, and provides oversight, for the development of a center for student-athlete success focusing on academics services and improvement, student-athlete leadership development, personal enhancement, community engagement, career education, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Serves as a sport administrator for select varsity programs.
Supervises staff, including the compliance coordinator, graduate assistant, and student workers.
Other administrative duties and assignments determined by the Vice President for Athletics and the Director of Athletics.
Required Degree(s): Master's Degree
Required Field of Expertise: 3-5 years experience working at a NCAA DI or DII institution in compliance and student-athlete support services
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA DI and DII rules and compliance procedures
Knowledge of NCAA compliance software, including ARMS
Experience in athletic student-athlete support
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong time-management skills
Strong commitment to integrity, student-athlete success, and diversity, equity, and inclusion
Work Schedule
This is a full time, exempt level, benefits eligible position. Normal office hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm, flexible to the needs of the department. Evening, weekend, and holiday event work required as the schedule dictates.
