Description of Work:
Administer recruitment efforts for the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture. Develop and maintain a recruiting plan. Identify target audiences for marketing efforts, including prospective students. Plan and implement student services, marketing, and communication strategies specific to undergraduate recruitment. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with secondary schools, community colleges, four-year institutions, and community agencies to recruit qualified students. Initiate and maintain personal contact with qualified prospective students and related public throughout the recruitment and enrollment process.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, communications, marketing, public relations, agronomy, horticulture, or plant sciences, or related field plus two years of experience in public relations, student services, advising, sales, or marketing,. Required experience includes: public speaking, supervision, and higher education. Must have experience working with various audiences related to group sizes and diverse populations. Experience must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Word processing, spreadsheet, and database software program skills required. Ability to speak to individuals/groups with or without preparation and answer general questions necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in agronomy, horticulture, education, student affairs, advising, science teaching, extension teaching, or related field. Prefer two years of experience in recruiting and/or student advising and creating marketing campaigns. Knowledge of university and college admissions, recruiting and retention procedures. Knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, or plant sciences
Posted Salary: $43,000/yr minimum
