Job Purposes::
Oversight and coordination of all undergraduate recruitment and retention within the College of Engineering & Computer Science to include marketing and social media.
Required Qualifications::
Master's degree and five years of relevant higher education experience.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Strong oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications::
Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Engineering, or similar program.
Essential Functions and percent of time::
35% Maintain responsibility for all CECS undergraduate student recruitment, orientation, retention, and marketing activities, including coordination of department activities. Drive enrollment yield through outreach to prospective students, inquiries, applicants, and admits, including phone, email, mail correspondence and workshops, tours and presentations to share general college information, explain program offerings, and highlight student services.
20% Coordinate college interactions with various university functions and offices. Point of contact for marketing, college web site, and social media. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications Department to develop and maintain specialized recruitment materials, publications, and outreach website for general recruitment. Oversight of DARS, UAchieve, and University catalog content. Point of contact for Registrars Office.
15% Collaborate with the Office of Admissions and Adult and Transfer Office on recruitment strategy and coordinate college participation in all recruitment events. Participate in Yield Committee. Work with departments to draft articulation and transfer agreements with other institutions.
15% Establish relationships, regular visits, engagement and recruitment of prospective students with and from high schools, community colleges, and other community organizations and events. Coordinates department activities and student workers in support of high school visits, college fairs, K-12 outreach programs, dual enrollment programs, transfer student and scholarship programs, new student orientation scheduling, incoming student and first-year programs, peer
tutoring/mentoring programs, and undergraduate academic advising.
10% Coordinate Dean's List, CECS Dean's email, and College scholarships.
5% Special projects as assigned by the dean.
