Job Summary
The Director of Enrollment Operations (and Slate Administrator) is a key member of the Enrollment Management and Marketing Division with a specific focus on facilitating the University’s enrollment management goals by providing SLATE data management, data integrity and technical support to Admissions, Financial Aid, and Marketing. The primary functions include overseeing and documenting all current and proposed operational processes to ensure data integrity for the SLATE CRM and admissions application process. This position will also provide support to Enrollment leadership in changes and innovations to student services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Applies a comprehensive knowledge of the SLATE CRM (structures, tables, forms, data integrity and security, flow of data across processes/units, maintaining department security/user profiles, etc). This includes training and providing technical support for all local and baseline programs and processes, analyzing and solving technical issues, responding to ad hoc information requests, and developing and maintaining written procedures for all processes.
- Leads project management and planning in Slate. Develops reasonable timelines for completing new projects, evaluates the effectiveness of the project to ensure outcomes were achieved, and helps create the annual strategic technology timeline for relevant departments.
- Manages administrative reporting on enrollment data (sources, applicants, admits, paid deposits, enrolled, etc), processing production, and other strategic reports.
- Serves as an active member on Enrollment Operations leadership team, Enrollment Management and Marketing division, and primary liaison with Information Technology, Financial Aid and other departments across the University to represent the computing and business needs of Enrollment. Leads and/or participates in cross-departmental projects with University-wide implications as appropriate, especially coordinating with Financial Aid and Marketing. This also includes working with the departmental Operations Team to ensure data management standards are maintained and participating in quarterly Enrollment Management and Marketing Division meetings.
- Creates effective partnerships and works collaboratively with other technical staff, Institutional Effectiveness, Registrar , IT and other departments as necessary.
- Works with outside vendors ( SLATE CRM System, EAB, Colleague, etc) to customize their software to meet the needs of the department or to deliver critical data/processes.
- Coordinates the training of staff for efficient use of the SLATE CRM system and report generation. Provides appropriate and timely training to admissions staff as requested and needed, including the development and implementation of audit procedures for processes.
- Works effectively with a diverse population of employees, students, prospective students, visitors and guests.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in managing an information technology system or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires demonstrated ability to provide independent leadership and direction in a fast-paced office environment with the ability to handle multiple priorities; communicate well in written and verbal form with staff, ability to train users on computer system processes; and ability and desire to consistently search for better and more efficient processes. Excellent problem solving and investigative skills needed as well as the ability to recognize potential for errors with processes/reports and how to solve those errors. Must be effective as a team player as well as have strong ability to work independently; flexible to meet critical needs of the Division and University; and a willingness to learn. Ability to use a reporting tool to manipulate data is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems management/related field or comparable experience in computer systems management; familiarity with SLATE CRM or other CRM systems; and experience in college/university administration, admission or other enrollment management areas
