Position Summary:The Program Coordinator for the Religious Programs is responsible for answering inquiries in a professional and timely manner. The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating workshops and certificates, facilitating orientations and graduations, and providing student academic support. He or she is responsible for working with entities such as the writing center, CASAC, and provisional students that intersect religious communities, and representing Wurzweiler within those communities. This includes creating and organizing digital files, calendars, and schedules related to this program and assisting the team. Additionally, he or she will work collaboratively and closely with the Executive Director, Assistant Director, and Coordinator of the Men's Program, and our partners, to maintain up-to-date information and communications between administration and students, and to provide general admissions and retention support.
Please note that this position follows a Sunday-Thursday schedule 30 weeks a year during the academic semesters.
The remaining weeks the position can alternate to a Monday-Friday schedule if the candidate prefers it. This can be a remote position. The candidate will need to come to NY three to four times a year.
Position Responsibilities: - Provide day-to-day support needs for assigned MSW programs, including:
- Create and maintain spreadsheets
- Maintain and update student files with appropriate information
- Organize meeting logistics and plan events
- Coordinate, plan, and host (Zoom) extracurricular learning opportunities for students.
- Maintain accurate lists of current students and their contact information
- Manage and maintain calendars
- Notify students of missing materials and upcoming deadlines/events
- Canvas and Zoom support for professors and students
- Manage student certificate, Writing Center/Provisional students and CASAC programs
- Schedule interviews for applicants and set up meetings
- Assist with orientation and graduation planning and execution
- Occasional tri-state travel for meetings and events
- Facilitate the onboarding procedures for new faculty and staff
- Tracking and checking grade submission in Banner
- Order books for faculty in advance of each semester
Experience & Education Background: - High School Diploma required, two years of college preferred
- Minimum of five years of some administrative experience is required
Skills & Competencies: - Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook
- Ability to learn systems, including Teams, Zoom, Canvas, and Banner
- Develops effective written communications and uses them appropriately
- Ability to act as a liaison for the school both internally and externally
- Interacts and proactively shares information with internal and external contacts where appropriate
- Ability to troubleshoot challenges
- Assumes responsibility to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through conclusion
- Commitment to efficiency
- Effectively manages own time and resources
- Familiarity with Haredi Community
- Some degree of knowledge of higher education administration and norms, ideally from having worked in some aspect of higher education administration, admissions, or student service
