The Facilities Manager reports to the Director of Finance and Facilities and works closely with the Assistant Principals, the Athletics Director, the Director of Technology, Engineering, and Janitorial in all areas of plant operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the physical plant with primary focus on St. Augustine Commons, Fields and the Raymond Center for the Arts.
Manage the School’s facilities and premises staff to ensure the cleanliness, safety and security of the school buildings and grounds.
Coordinate and schedule use of facilities and janitorial services
Coordinate with Student Services, Academics, Athletics, IT, Admissions, Engineering and Janitorial and other related parties, as required
Coordinate and schedule gym set-up for games and practices (bleachers, chairs, scorers table, etc.
Assist in the coordination of AV and IT support for campus events and activities
Ensure facilities are in good repair and provide a safe environment
Coordinate with Engineering (Paragon) and Janitorial (CityWide) to schedule all maintenance, cleaning requests, and work orders
Manage the FMX system and coordinate facilities requests.
Oversee all third-party vendors, i.e. staging and event production companies
Respond quickly to emergency problems and be on-call to meet with repairmen or suppliers as necessary
Work with the Director of Finance and Facilities to support the management of construction, renovation, and maintenance operations and projects
Schedule, Clean, service, and maintain school vehicles and ensure they are in safe operating condition for the transportation of students, materials, merchandise and equipment.
Coordinate and schedule the opening and closing of gates for the school day and after school/weekend functions.
Maintain vehicle and driver records for school vans and trucks.
Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Finance and Facilities
Develop and implement plans for improvement of game and event management.
Secure and manage the cleanliness of the athletic locker rooms, gym, wrestling room, and classrooms in the common
Work with the President’s Office, Alumni Association, and Admissions office to schedule special events and parochial sports.
Liaison with off-site facilities for use of their athletic and event spaces (Mesa College - Football, Faculty Christmas Party, Distinguished Students Banquet)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience of successful facilities management experience
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple projects
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the school
Experience with Office Suite (Word, Excel, outlook, calendar) and software for Facilities Scheduling (FMX preferred)
