Communication Coordinator for Undergraduate Enrollment

Under direction of the Dean of Undergraduate Admission and Retention, the Communication Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment’s marketing and communications strategy to promote recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
Develop and facilitate the University's undergraduate admission marketing and communications strategy to meet first-year and transfer student enrollment goals, including producing direct mailings, print and digital materials, and email and social media campaigns.
Oversee the yield strategy working group with representatives from undergraduate admission, central marketing and communications, and financial aid, to implement campaigns designed to intentionally engage admitted students and their families.
Produce monthly newsletters to inform and engage parents and families.
Support the division’s strategic planning process and assessment efforts.
Serve as a liaison with outside vendors such as HubSpot, EAB, and Pepperland to more effectively communicate with internal and external audiences.
Represents the division on a variety of committees and task forces.
Duties require knowledge of higher education administration, recruitment, and retention, with 5+ years of progressive experience.
Masters degree required.
Considerable knowledge of the Universitys policies and procedures. A strong commitment to the Colleges goals and mission.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to follow through consistently on inquiries, requests, and suggestions.
Ability to resolve problems and to develop relevant alternatives and recommendations.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to establish positive public relations for the University; and to interact effectively with a wide variety of people.
Ability to form strong coalitions with internal and external constituencies.
Ability to uphold the Universitys commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Normal office environment, not subject to extreme variations of temperature, noise, odors, etc.
May use computer keyboards requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
Requires work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.
May require lifting and carrying of recruiting materials.
